Okay, so here’s the deal. I’m “working” on a film here in Austin. A major studio piece. I signed a some-sort-of-agreement that says I can’t say what I’m doing, who is here, what they are doing, or where I am. So, for the purposes of this post, I am floating in a sea of ass-numbing, mind-crushing boredom. It’s like I’m in jail, but there are celebs in the mess hall.

I’ve been in the “holding cell” for the past six hours. Was here for 15 yesterday. At about hour 13 my status as an Extra was upgraded to Background Artist. It’s the roll I’ve been preparing myself for my whole life. Standing and sitting. Wow. One and a half days down, 12 and a half days to go. Luckily they are paying me minimum wage. Gotta feed the monkey.
