Talent Show

Adversity has the effect of eliciting talents which,
in prosperous circumstances, would have lain dormant.

For better or worse, some of us 301 schlubs are regarding our stardom-bound peers with envious eyes. Firstly, there’s Fo3 Sean Russell’s appearance in the series finale of Arrested Development. Anyone with any taste at all knows this was the funniest show on network teevee. Sean, I would offer you my interpretive chicken dance, but I have a feeling my performance would be trite and maudlin compared to the accolades from your Entourage-like entourage.
In other Fo3 news, Danny McBride will make his second appearance at Sundance in Jody Hill’s hilarious “The Foot Fist Way”–which was edited by 301’s erstwhile badass, Jeff “Scatmaster” Seibenick. The best of luck to you, gentlemen.
Finally, we come to Bucky Covington. My Momma, being the wise, wonderful, working-class, southern woman that she is, was quick and often in her use of that old chestnut–the one about having nothing nice to say and what to do in said situation. Suffice it to say that Marcia and I attended the same high school as this superstardom-bound young man. Good luck, Bucky … I see that you’re on the teevee right now.
